  • Question:

MIKE FLOOD: How can I edit my dfs2 file using shape files?

You can edit the values of a dfs2 file based on a polygon shape file, using the Shape2MIKE tool.

The Shape2MIKE tool is a MIKE Powered by DHI custom user tool, which can be obtained from our download page here. The tool is provided with its installation and user guide.

It allows you to edit the values of a *.dfs2 file, for the cells lying in polygons specified in a shape file. It may therefore be used to e.g. assign land value to buildings based on a buildings shape file, or to assign roughness values based on land use shape files.
