  • Question:

Sediments: Bedlevel.txt input file: I have normally defined options for Updating method in the 'bedlevel.txt' ascii file. Is this still valid?

    Answer:

    No.

The definition of updating method has now been moved from the previously used bedlevel.txt input file and to the MIKE11.Ini file instead. So defining a bedlevel.txt file has no longer any effect - selections of model update type must be made in the mike11.ini file (Changed from release 2007)

Updated methods available are still the same though:

    • Method no 1: Deposition in horizontal layers from the bottom. Erosion proportional with depth below bank level
    • Method no 2: Deposition and erosion uniformly distributed below the water surface. No deposition and erosion above.
    • Method no 3: Deposition and erosion proportional with depth below water surface. No deposition and erosion above.
    • Method no 4: Deposition and erosion uniformly distributed over the whole cross section (i.e. below the bank level).
    • Method no 5: Deposition and erosion proportional with depth below bank level.
